Sleeping in Jeans
- A style poem by the pioneer
sleeping in jeans
not soft in feel
sleeping in jeans,
it ain’t too ideal
but sometimes, just sometimes, every so often
the night brings you places where no cloth can soften
rest is calling, as it wars against comfort
denim wraps your gooch, as you fight to achieve slumber
then suddenly, the sun shines. you awaken as you were
your legs still in levis, sleep only temporarily deterred
and that’s how we know, what we did not know before
if pjs be sacrificed, rest can still occur
sleeping in jeans, just every so often
reminding oneself, our inner warrior is not forgotten
Elevator Pitch and (lesser) Recs
Tom Hardy - 2016 (EXCEPTIONAL PODCAST)
Some podcasts merely adopted the dark, this podcast was born in it. That's right, it's Tom Hardy week on Elevator Pitch. For the release of Jeff Nichols' The Bikeriders, we dig into the new film starring Hardy, Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, and most importantly Emory Cohen. Then a lil' bonus discussion on the current state of pop filmmaking vs. how these films are marketed.
Hush-Hush Affair: How The NDA Became the Defining Legal Document of Our Time (ARTICLE)
One of my favorite reads in a while. Not surprised as New York Mag is sorta on a run at the moment. Reeves Wiedeman spins a super entertaining, sorta depressing, and incredibly juicy tale of a secret document all of you have probably signed multiple times this year for not-so secret secrets.
Remembering That Guy’s Name (TIMELY REALIZATION)
Always great to remember that guy’s name. What guy? You know, that guy. The guy you see every damn day and can’t, for the love of god, remember his name. Until you do. Always great to remember that guy’s name.
One of the scariest, yet most exhilarating moments in every day life is using what you think is that guy's name to that guy. The second it leaves your mouth you either passed the test or have to cover your ass
Always surprised by the journeys your words take me on, oh pioneer! never disappointed
