Haven't been sleeping well recently -- been awake at all hours thinking when I'd cross paths with another Pioneer Newsletter -- thankfully the bell tolled today and I can rest easy tonight knowing the Pioneer's still out there blazing a new trail of American myth for us all to enjoy

have thoughts on Mr and Mrs Smith -- we will talk

Don’t forget where you came from— Starbucks inside a Target that’s across from a Starbucks next to a Dunkin’ Donuts that’s adjacent to a Stewart’s and Bruggers.

You know he let AB borrow from the private collection. Is that a 2012 vintage? Great harvest that year

At first, this post had me wondering if I look like a scarecrow in long sleeves. Then, once I pierced my bubble of self-absorption, I realized that the biggest difference between me and Callum (other than Callum being able to afford to buy a modest single-family home in west LA) is that he is embracing the scarecrow. He's leaning in. Perhaps the takeaway lesson here is that we as a society need to collectively move towards embracing our inner scarecrows.

I've been chewing on this for a while now as you've forged an insightful lesson in the fire that is this blog. Maybe we all are scarecrows...this much may be true. And maybe it is about embracing it...this may be true as well. But as we embrace our inner scarecrow, maybe it's not even a scarecrow after all, if it's no longer scary to ourselves.

It is only then that like Mr. Turner, we will be on a road to success and more importantly, a modest single-family home in west LA.

Damn! That was seriously a GREAT newsletter! Your writing is hysterical. I have not stepped into a Starbucks in years - and won't ever again. Yes, HQ watches Chet and his colleagues' every move. (Nice use of plural possessive apostrophe. He gets it from his mother.) Full thought within parentheses so period goes on the inside. I'm a tea drinker who likes a lot of milk in my tea. Once asked for a large cup, but only one tea bag and was charged for a double tea.
